History:

  • IAPAC was formed in 1994 by a group of like-minded individuals to address the lack of political awareness and involvement in the Indo-American community. Although we enjoy the highest per-capita income of all minorities and have successfully built cultural and religious organizations, we have not found our political voice. For nearly a decade, IAPAC has been implementing our objectives according to our mission statement to benefit the Indo-American community, especially in the Greater Houston area. Highlights include a hugely successful fundraising effort for Bobby Jindal's gubernatorial campaign, a highly-attended Mayoral debate featuring all candidates in 2003, and several receptions with elected officials such as Mayor Bill White of Houston in 2004.
